Substitute Teachers are in Need

Manhattan Catholic Schools is currently accepting applications for substitute teachers.  Please contact the administrative office for details at 785-565-5050. 

To be considered you must:

  1. Complete a  Certified Teacher/MCS Application Opens in a new browser tab
  2. Have teaching or substitute license.
  3. Interview with the principal for approval. 
  4. Complete CMG "Safe Environment Training," "Establishing Appropriate Boundaries" and background check for Salina Diocese at https://salinadiocese.org/safe-environment.

This month our Beef Tacos, Nachos, and Chili are all made with local ground beef from 1880 Beef.  

 

Application for Free & Reduced-Price Meals

All families are encouraged to complete the online 2025-2026 Application for Free or Reduced-Price Meal Benefits. A new application must be submitted each school year. Only students with approved applications will receive free or reduced-price meals for the 2025-2026 school year. Math Counts

February 8th was the Chapter competition for MathCounts. Nathaniel Stamm, Kendall Feldkamp, Jilliann Gray, Damien Aikens, Molly McCullough, and Jack KuKanich represented MCS in the Chapter (regional) competition for MathCounts.  Several students placed in the top 10, including Nathaniel Stamm (7th), Damien Aikens (8th), and Molly McCullough (10th).  The team placed second and moved to the State competition today, March 1. Congratulations!"

Maria Riley is a passionate Catholic author who loves writing stories to teach the faith in simple and engaging ways. You will find her volunteering with her local parish when she’s not writing or mom-ing around with her four daughters.

All clergy,  adult employees, and adult volunteers (ministering with children) of the Diocese of Salina must do the REQUIRED TRAINING CURRICULUM called Safe Environment Curriculum-Salina (this includes short videos, questions, Code of Conduct, Policy Acknowledgement and a Background Check).
