Grow Green Match Day

The funds raised during Grow Green Match Day are used for school operations. These funds help keep teacher pay competitive, lower tuition, and enhance our school environment and programs. The current inflationary times have made it more challenging to make ends meet. Given the situation, we made an appeal during the school’s annual Grandparents’ Day in March of 2024. The appeal was for additional matching donations, and the Grandparents came through with $39,050 that year. Our second year appeal this past March resulted in $50,750 in matching pledges from the Grandparents! Hence, our Grow Green Match Day Goal of $51,000.

The MCS Grandparent's Day Match is a 100% match up to $50,750 with all proceeds going directly to Manhattan Catholic Schools! For example, if a donor gives a $1,000 gift to MCS during match day, MCS is eligible to receive a 50% match of $500 (up to $15,000) from the GMCF and an additional $1,000 from the MCS Grandparent’s Day Match (up to $50,750). Unlike Grow Green Match Day Gifts, which have a per-person limit of $1,000 for matching purposes, there is no matching donation limit per person for the Grandparents’ Day Match. As long as matching funds are available, the Grandparents will match any donation amount per person!

The MCS Grandparents’ Day Match is only available to Manhattan Catholic Schools.
